GREAT BEND COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP APPRECIATION DINNER

Plates piled high, members of the Great Bend Cooperative Association and their families enjoyed a dinner of pork, beef, cheesy potatoes and all the fixings, Tuesday evening, August 14, 2007, at the Barton County Historical Society Museum and Village. Catered by Tom Burns and served by Co-op staff, the crowd dined and then wandered through the Village's buildings and exhibits. Younger family members had a great time whizzing by their elders on the old-time rope swing, which hangs from a large tree in the center of the Village grounds.
